📌 Fee Update Notice – Effective January 1, 2026
My 2025 rates followed the 2024 BCACC Recommended Fee Guide. As of January 1st, 2026, fees will be updated to align with current professional standards and practice sustainability, as follows:
-
$160 for a 50-minute session
-
$240 for an 75-minute extended session
-
$285 for a 2-hour kayak therapy session (includes a $45 equipment rental fee)
To support a smooth transition, all current clients will remain at their current rate for an additional three months, until April 1st, 2026. You will see this reflected on your invoices.

Seeking Sunrise Therapy's Online Booking
New Clients
Step 1: Consultation
Start with a free 20 minute phone consultation. This is an informal space for us to meet, talk about what brings you here, and explore whether my approach feels like a good fit for your needs. You can also ask any questions you may have about counselling.
Step 2: Intake Session
If you decide to move forward after your consultation, the next step is to book a full intake session. This first counselling session can be held online or in person (in office).
In Office Therapy
My office is cozy and welcoming, created to feel like a living room where you can settle in with a cup of tea. Parker, my therapy dog, may be present in the office Mon, Tues & Thurs.
If you prefer movement or the outdoors, we can do a walk and talk along the beach or sit by the shoreline. Please note that this beach area has a bit more foot traffic than some of my other locations.
Nature-Based Therapy
Nature-based therapy offers the chance to step outside the traditional office setting and connect with yourself in the healing presence of the outdoors. Sessions can take the form of walk and talks along peaceful trails, time spent by the shoreline, sitting at a bench or even kayak therapy on calm waters. Being in nature can help create a sense of ease, support emotional regulation, and open space for reflection and movement.
Parker, my therapy dog, often joins walk and talk sessions and can bring a comforting presence as we move together through nature.
Virtual Therapy (Telehealth)
We will meet through the secure online link that Jane provides, allowing you to stay cozy at home while we work together. Virtual sessions can be a wonderful option if you live outside the Sunshine Coast, have a busy schedule, or simply feel more at ease connecting from your own space. Many clients appreciate the comfort and flexibility of this format, especially when life feels full. Parker, my therapy dog, may still pop in to say a quick hello during our time together, but if you would prefer a dog-free session, just let me know.
