Hi, I’m Sonia.

I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) working with youth (12+) and adults. My approach is relational, warm, and grounded in lived experience, professional work, and clinical training. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, not analyzed from across the room.

Alongside traditional counselling, I offer walk-and-talk sessions in nature and therapy by kayak. Many clients find that being outdoors, whether on the water, in the forest, or on a quiet path, makes it easier to breathe, think, and talk. Nature has a way of softening things and creating space for regulation, reflection, and connection without pressure.

My therapy dog, Parker, often joins us in this work. He is a trained therapy dog who brings steady, calming support with just enough goofiness to remind us not to take ourselves too seriously.

Wherever we meet, indoors, outdoors, or on the water, my goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are, messy parts included, and know you will be met with compassion, honesty, and respect.
